COVID POLICIES

Wow! We are SO thrilled to welcome you back to lessons and classes at our space. Here we've detailed what we're doing to keep our studio as safe as possible, and what we expect of you when attending an in-person lesson.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

We need your help to keep our space safe! In addition to what we’re doing (listed below), we require that students adhere to the following rules to attend class at the studio.

PRIOR TO CLASS

  • No drop-ins are allowed. Please sign up for your class ahead of time through MINDBODY.

  • Do not come to class if you are feeling unwell, have a fever, have any symptoms of COVID-19, or possible known exposure risk. We encourage students to get tested regularly if possible. By attending an in-person class, you are acknowledging that you are fever-free and are not experiencing any potential symptoms of COVID-19.

  • If you begin feeling unwell or learn of a potential exposure after the early cancel window has closed, we will refund your class credit. Use of this policy requires a 14 day waiting period, a negative COVID-19 test, or a negative test for your potentially exposed contact before you may return to the studio.

PREPARING FOR CLASS

  • Before you head to the studio, please remember to pack the following:

    • A mask that will stay in place while you’re getting your groove on

    • Yoga mat

    • Towel

    • Any grip aids you use

    • Full water bottle

  • A limited number of yoga mats and towels are available for student use at the studio. We strongly encourage you to bring your own yoga mat and/or towel for pole cleaning if possible.

ENTERING THE STUDIO

  • Masks are strongly recommended for studio entry.

  • After entering, please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer and choose a pole station.

  • If you need a mat or towel, ask the instructor and they will bring the equipment to you to prevent crowding near the mat racks and towel storage.

DURING CLASS

  • Please stay within your pole station as much as possible to maintain distance from other students. If you need to use the bathroom or leave your station, keep your distance on the way over.

  • Please bring a full water bottle to class. If you need a refill, our water dispenser is available for refills only. Detailed instructions for safe use of the water dispenser are posted at the studio. Please read and follow these instructions.

  • We will no longer be signing or storing student milestone cards. We will still provide you with your milestone card or a new milestone card to track your progress. Instructors will assess skills and provide verbal feedback on if you’ve passed the milestone at the end of class, and you can use your card to track your progress.

LEAVING THE STUDIO

  • At the end of class, please wipe down your pole with alcohol, collect your belongings, and promptly head out of the studio.

  • If you’re staying for the next class, you may remain at your pole station in between classes.

AFTER YOUR VISIT

  • If, within 14 days of your last visit with us, you test positive for COVID-19, you are required to notify us of your positive result. Email us at flytogetherfitness@gmail.com or call us at (617)-545-5711.

We’re committed to enacting and enforcing these policies to keep our instructors and students safe. Refusal to adhere to the above policies will result in removal from class without a refund. If you have any questions about these policies, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at flytogetherfitness@gmail.com

WHAT WE'RE DOING

Here are the policies we're implementing to keep you as safe as possible in our space:

AIR QUALITY

  • Our HVAC has been upgraded to filter studio air with ASHRAE (The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) recommended MERV-13 air filters. It runs during class, performing approximately nine air changes per hour in the main studio space (MA recommends four air changes per hour).

  • In addition, we have a HEPA air purifier in the main studio space that filters studio air 1.5 times per class and removes particles 0.3 microns in size at 99.97% efficiency.

  • We’ve added a HEPA air purifier to the bathroom that filters air in that space, removing particles smaller than 0.3 microns with 99.97% efficiency four times per hour.

  • We will prop the studio door open for added ventilation if all students in the class feel comfortable with this.

SURFACES

  • High-contact surfaces are cleaned with CDC-approved disinfectants multiple times per day. These include:

    • Door handles

    • Light switches

    • Faucet knobs

    • Toilet handle

    • Water dispenser

  • We’ve added touchless soap and paper towel dispensers to the bathroom to reduce contact with these surfaces.

  • Any used equipment is cleaned with CDC-approved disinfectants before and after each use. These include:

    • Poles

    • Floor

    • Yoga Mats (if used, we still recommend that you bring your own!) or yoga blocks

    • Spray bottle surface

  • No equipment will be shared by students during class. Each pole station has its own alcohol spray bottle for pole cleaning.

  • Hand sanitizer is available around the studio for student use.

INSTRUCTOR HEALTH

  • Instructors monitor their health and in the event they experience any symptoms, have been exposed to COVID-19, or are a close contact of someone who has been exposed to COVID-19, they will find a substitute teacher.

  • If a substitute cannot be found, your class will be cancelled at least 2 hours in advance. In this case your class credit would be refunded to your account for future use. We take seriously the health and safety of our students and will not take any chances even though we know last minute cancellations can be frustrating.
