HOW TO APPLY

Click here to apply and upload your information, a resume, and a personal statement/cover letter
Personal statement/cover letter (1-page maximum): Why do you want to teach pole dance and why do you think your teaching approach is a good match for our studio?

  • I'm a pole dancer with no prior teaching experience, but I want to learn! Where do I start?
We require that you first complete a teacher training program - either ours or from another pole instructor training, including elevatED or Xpert. After that, you'll apply and we'll follow up with a 30 minute zoom interview with our team so we can learn more about your style, interests, and goals. If you're hired, we'll then train you in our specific milestones and teaching philosophy and help you develop your class plan. You'll shadow our experienced instructors and prepare for teaching your own class. During the training period, you'll be paid $18 an hour. Once you start teaching classes on your own, you'll be paid on our teaching pay scale and receive full instructor benefits!
  • I'm a pole instructor with more than 1 year of teaching experience. How do I apply?
Amazing! We'd love to have you join our team! If we are actively hiring, use the links on this page to apply by uploading a resume that includes your pole teaching and training and other movement-related experience. You may also include professional experience. We also ask that you outline your teaching philosophy and answer the questions - Why would you like to teach pole dance and why would you like to teach at Fly Together Fitness? - in a personal statement <1 page. We'll follow up with a 30 minute Zoom interview where we'll ask you about your teaching philosophy, movement style, and how you create an inclusive space. We'll continue the interview process by inviting you to the studio to teach a demo class. If you're hired, we'll train you on Fly Together Fitness policies, teaching philosophy, and on creating a welcoming environment on your classes. You'll be paid $18 an hour during this training period (typically ~2-3 weeks). Once you begin teaching classes you'll be paid based on years of prior teaching experience and will receive other FTF instructor perks! If we are not actively hiring, we are always accepting applications! Email your resume and personal statement (Why would you like to teach pole dance and why would you like to teach at Fly Together Fitness?) to flytogetherfitness@gmail.com. We'll reach out during our next hiring period.
