Welcome to Intro to Pole at Fly Together Fitness! We’re so excited to welcome you to your pole journey! Whether you're here to explore your sensual side, get stronger, or just try something new—you’ve found the right place.
At Fly Together Fitness, we offer three distinct Intro to Pole styles:
Classic Sexy
Dance
Sport
All styles of pole are welcome and celebrated in our studio. We encourage you to try them all (grab an Intro Package to get the best deal!) and discover what makes you feel the most empowered.

🔥 Intro to Pole: Classic Sexy
Spicy. Sultry. Unapologetically Sexy. This confidence-boosting class introduces you to the foundational movements of sensual pole dance, rooted in the style popularized by exotic dancers and strip club performers. You’ll explore body waves, floorwork, and seductive sequences that help you feel connected to your sensual self. Perfect for: Anyone curious to tap into their sexy side and move with confidence.
🎶 Intro to Pole: Dance
Flow. Transitions. Creative Expression. Fun. This style blends various dance techniques with pole flow and musicality. You’ll learn how to connect movements with ease, build confidence in transitions, and express yourself freely through dance. Perfect for: Students who want to feel comfortable dancing and explore the artistic side of pole.
💪 Intro to Pole: Sport
Tricks. Technique. Strength. This class introduces the "tricks" side of pole, focusing on foundational grips, spins, and strength-based skills that you'll need to take movements up the pole, upside down, and all around! You’ll learn key tricks while building body awareness and control. Perfect for: Beginners looking to build strength, body control, or take their first spin in pole sport.

🙌 What to Expect in Your First Class
No matter which intro style you choose, here’s what you can expect:
Your instructor will greet you and show you around the studio.
You’ll grab any equipment you need—like a yoga mat, towel, or pole-cleaning spray.
Class begins with a guided warm-up, then you’ll learn pole skills or choreography, followed by a cool-down (and maybe a few pictures!).
Most intro classes include multiple first-timers—you won’t be alone!
What to bring/wear:
Water
Shorts (you can wear leggings over them to start!)
Bare feet, socks, or pole heels (your choice)
A willingness to try something new ✨

Your first class can stir up a lot—excitement, nerves, curiosity, even intimidation. Our instructors are here to guide you with care and support, wherever you're starting from. Whether your goals are to build strength, unlock your inner dancer, feel more confident in your body—or all of the above—we’re here for it. And for you.
🌀 How Many Intro Classes Should I Take?
There’s no set number—everyone’s pole journey is unique. You’re ready to level up when you feel confident getting in and out of the key moves taught in your intro class without assistance. For many people this takes 3-5 classes or more, but the number varies greatly. This is why we highly recommend purchasing an Intro Package so you can try all the styles, build confidence, and get the best price per class!
Here's what your next class might look like:
In Pole Level 1, we begin working on climbs. You’ll need skills like a Carousel Kick (an Intro to Pole milestone) to safely progress.
In Pole Choreo or Sensual Movement, you might need to confidently perform spins, body rolls, and pole sits—also taught in Intro classes.
Your instructor can always help you determine when you're ready to move up. If you like a specific pole style, they can also recommend classes or other instructors. Intro packages also come with a free 1:1 consult to help you pick the best classes and membership options too!
